Pay: $27–$32/hour
OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Service Technician to support the maintenance and repair of industrial smokers and refrigeration systems. This position combines field service (50% travel) and shop-based work, offering a dynamic opportunity for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, hands-on work, and customer interaction.
Key Responsibilities- Service, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial smokers and refrigeration units
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs
- Assist with equipment installation, setup, and startup
- Travel to customer sites nationwide (~50% travel after training)
- Work independently in the field while staying connected with internal teams
- Support shop operations including testing, repairs, and equipment prep
- Accurately document service work, findings, and repairs
- Follow all safety standards and company procedures
- Represent the company professionally in customer-facing environments
- Strong experience in:
- Refrigeration systems
- Electrical troubleshooting
- Mechanical repair
- EPA Universal Certification
- Ability to read and interpret:
- Electrical schematics
- Wiring diagrams
- Technical manuals
- Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation
- Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs
- Experience servicing industrial smokers, ovens, or commercial refrigeration
- HVAC, refrigeration, or electrical certifications/training

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
