Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into an impactful opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist, supporting a K-8 student population in a dynamic educational environment. This full-time contract role offers a consistent weekday schedule from 7:55 AM to 3:30 PM. You will play a key role in ESY (Extended School Year) and NSY (Non-School Year) programs, creating meaningful change through individualized and group-based interventions for young learners.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active Occupational Therapist license (OT) for New York State
  • Previous experience working in school settings (K-8 preferred)
  • Strong understanding of best practices in pediatric occupational therapy
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt interventions for a wide range of developmental levels
  • Skilled in delivering both 1:1 and group therapy sessions

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct 16 individualized (1:1) sessions and 25 group sessions each week, focusing on students’ unique goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to develop and monitor progress on IEP goals
  • Design and implement engaging therapy interventions that promote student participation and functional independence
  • Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress notes in compliance with school and regulatory standards
  • Participate in team meetings to support student success across academic and social settings
  • Support ESY/NSY programming, ensuring continuity of services year-round
