This role involves producing filtration media and related products in a manufacturing environment while following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). You will prepare and mix raw materials, operate and assist with the setup of production equipment, and ensure each batch meets quality and documentation standards. The position also includes basic material handling and light janitorial tasks to maintain a clean and safe work area across various shifts.
Responsibilities
- Produce filtration media and related products in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Review and follow batch requirements to determine the raw materials needed for each production run.
- Measure, mix, and add raw materials to production equipment as required for each batch.
- Assist with the setup, adjustment, and basic operation of production equipment for each batch.
- Monitor the production schedule and make adjustments as needed to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Perform basic quality control tests as needed to verify that products meet specifications.
- Complete accurate and timely production documentation for each batch, including logs and records.
- Perform material handling duties as needed, such as moving, staging, and organizing materials and products.
- Carry out basic janitorial duties in the production area to maintain cleanliness and organization.
- Inspect products visually and use hand tools and production machinery safely and correctly.
- Support mixing, packaging, packing, and assembly activities as production demands require.
- Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred, particularly in a general labor, assembly, or production environment.
- Ability to perform basic math to measure, weigh, and mix raw materials accurately.
- Willingness and ability to learn new processes, equipment, and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate mixing, documentation, and quality checks.
- Effective communication skills to follow instructions, report issues, and work with team members.
- Ability to complete clear and accurate documentation for each batch.
- Capability to work safely with hand tools, production machinery, and raw materials.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, schedule-driven manufacturing environment.
- Experience with mixing, packaging, packing, and assembly tasks in a production setting.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or similar regulated environments.
- Experience performing visual inspection and basic quality control checks.
- Ability to adapt to different shifts and train on first shift during the initial training period.

Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing facility that produces depth filtration and filtration systems. The company employs over 55 people, with a dedicated production area of more than 20 team members and a small shipping department. Production workers use hand tools and production machinery to perform mixing, assembly, packaging, and inspection tasks. There are openings on all three shifts: first shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., second shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., and third shift from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Second shift includes a 5% differential and third shift includes a 10% differential, and both second and third shift employees train on first shift for the first two weeks. The dress code allows jeans and short- or long-sleeve shirts appropriate for the weather, with comfortable shoes required; sneakers are not permitted.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
