As a skilled general laborer, you will be responsible for performing multiple tasks primarily focused on installing pre-engineered metal panels on the exterior of data centers. This role requires proficiency in using impacts, steel erecting tools, and operating scissor lifts.
Responsibilities
- Install pre-engineered metal wall and roof panels according to project specifications, drawings, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Assist with layout, alignment, and fastening of structural components.
- Utilize steel-erecting tools such as impact wrenches, torque tools, shears, snips, grinders, and panel lifting equipment.
- Work at heights using lifts, ladders, and scaffolding while following all safety protocols.
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and installation instructions.
- Coordinate with foremen and crew members to maintain workflow and meet project deadlines.
- Perform material handling, staging, and site cleanup as needed.
- Inspect installed components for quality, accuracy, and compliance with project standards.

- Proficiency with steel-erecting and metal-fabrication tools
- Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Ability to work as part of a team on large-scale commercial or industrial projects

Work Environment
Work is conducted Monday through Saturday from 6am to 4:30pm, weather permitting. Site operations may shut down in high winds. This role involves outdoor, year-round work with exposure to variable weather conditions such as cold winters, high winds, and hot, dry summers. The environment is physically demanding, requiring lifting heavy materials, climbing ladders, working at heights, and standing for long periods. You will be part of active construction zones with heavy equipment and multiple trades working simultaneously. The work is fast-paced and production-driven, especially on large commercial or data-center projects with tight schedules. Safety is paramount, requiring strict adherence to OSHA and site-specific safety protocols. Mandatory PPE includes hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, high-visibility gear, and fall-protection equipment. You will frequently use steel-erecting tools and aerial lifts, ladders, and scaffolding. Work areas include metal building frames, roof structures, and exterior wall systems, necessitating comfort with heights and open-frame structures. Expect full-time, onsite work with potential for overtime, particularly during peak construction seasons, with early start times and long days, especially in the summer months.
