Interventional Radiologic Technologist (IR) | Bolingbrook, Illinois

Minimum 1+ years Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist experience and ARRT certification required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring safety and comfort at all stages.
• Operate and maintain imaging and fluoroscopic equipment with precision, adhering to safety protocols.
• Assist physicians during minimally invasive procedures such as angiograms, biopsies, and drain placements.
• Administer contrast media under direction, observing all patient safety guidelines.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and respond swiftly to emergent clinical situations.
• Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records, ensuring proper imaging archiving.
• Manage inventory of supplies and equipment for the IR suite.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program with valid ARRT (R) certification.
• Advanced ARRT (VI) certification or equivalent training in interventional radiology preferred.
• Active state radiology licensure in Illinois.
• Current BLS certification.
• Previous experience as an IR Tech in a clinical or hospital setting required.
• Strong knowledge of IR procedures, sterile techniques, and radiation safety practices.
• Excellent collaborative and communication abilities.
