Our client is seeking a professional and compassionate Patient Access Specialist to support front-end patient services and help create a positive experience for every patient interaction. This role is responsible for patient registration, insurance verification, scheduling support, and maintaining accurate demographic and billing information in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering excellent customer service while supporting efficient patient access operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors in a courteous, professional manner
  • Complete patient registration and intake accurately
  • Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, authorizations, and referrals
  • Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other patient payments
  • Update and maintain patient demographic, insurance, and billing information
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments as needed
  • Answer patient questions related to registration, appointments, and general intake procedures
  • Ensure all documentation is complete and entered accurately into the appropriate systems
  • Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams to support smooth patient flow
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational policies
