Job Title: Pharmacy Floor Technician
Allmed Benefits: Vision Insurance, Health Insurance, Dental Insurance and 401(k)
Pay Rate: $21/hr (Paid Weekly)
Work Location: 15491 SW Sunrise FL, 33313
Contract to Hire: 06/29/2026 to 10/02/2026
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm and every other weekend 9am-6:00pm
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Floor Technician to support pharmacy operations by accurately preparing prescription medications for final verification by a licensed pharmacist. This role plays a vital part in ensuring efficient workflow, medication accuracy, and compliance in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately fill daily medication orders under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
- Pick, label, and scan medications to prepare prescriptions for final pharmacist verification
- Pull medications from shelving and storage areas, including prepack racks
- Apply labels to blister cards and scan products to confirm accuracy
- Notify the pharmacist on duty of any medications or products that do not scan properly
- Process returned medications, including recycling and disposal according to established procedures
- Assist with prepacking frequently ordered medications during low-volume periods
- Manually package materials and products as needed
- Maintain clean, organized workstations and replenish stock supplies as needed
- Follow all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA compliance
- Adhere to departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Active and clear Florida Pharmacy Technician License issued by the Florida Board of Pharmacy
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to work efficiently at a moderate pace in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous pharmacy technician experience
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and stoop intermittently throughout the workday
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods (7–10 hours per shift)
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Manual dexterity to operate equipment and perform repetitive tasks
- Visual acuity to read fine print, distinguish colors, and adjust focus
- Ability to hear and respond to normal voice communication
