Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make an impact supporting students as a Special Education professional at an elementary school for the full 2026–2027 academic year. This full-time contract position provides an opportunity to be part of a collaborative environment and work directly with students requiring resource services.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must be bilingual in Spanish.
- Minimum of one year of classroom teaching experience, especially within special education settings.
- Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license, or documentation proving active steps toward obtaining it (required for interview consideration).
- Flexible approach and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and families.
- Strong understanding of the needs and challenges facing elementary-aged students with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with various learning needs in a resource caseload setting.
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, counselors, and other specialists to develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Assess students’ abilities, track progress, and document outcomes in accordance with school and legal requirements.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment, supporting both academic and social-emotional growth.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with families regarding student progress and strategies for support.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training opportunities to enhance instructional skills.
