Interventional Radiologic Technologist in Cicero, IL

Minimum 1+ years Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist experience and ARRT certification required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification, with current state radiologic technologist license
• Proven experience working in an Interventional Radiology setting
• Strong knowledge of principles, practices, and equipment related to IR procedures
• Ability to adapt in fast-paced healthcare environments, prioritizing patient safety and quality
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and multi-disciplinary teams
• Current BLS certification

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout the process
• Operate and maintain imaging and IR equipment according to established protocols
• Assist physicians with real-time imaging guidance during minimally invasive procedures, including angiograms, biopsies, and vascular access
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
• Adhere to strict safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
• Monitor patient responses and collaborate with nursing and medical personnel as needed
• Keep up-to-date with best practices and participate in ongoing professional development
