Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This role offers an opportunity to provide specialized pharmaceutical care within a dedicated specialty pharmacy setting focused on managing complex conditions that require infused therapies. The position is contract to hire and located in Arlington, TN, with a Monday through Friday daytime schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver clinical patient management for individuals with hemophilia, immune deficiencies, autoimmune disorders, and other complex chronic conditions requiring infused medications.
- Utilize therapy-specific expertise to oversee factor replacement therapies, emicizumab, and a variety of subcutaneous and intravenous infusions.
- Educate patients and their families on proper drug administration, side effect monitoring, adherence strategies, and safe home medication handling.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and care coordinators to ensure comprehensive coordination of care.
- Partner with reimbursement specialists to navigate insurance plans, secure prior authorizations, and identify financial assistance opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Tennessee Pharmacist License is required.
- Prior experience with CareTend software is highly preferred; training may be available.
- Willingness to obtain additional state licenses is encouraged.
- Experience in clinical pharmacy and specialty infusion care is beneficial.
