Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Bring your passion for inclusive education to a dedicated special education role supporting students in need of individualized instruction. A full-time contract opportunity is available for an experienced Special Education Teacher to work with a resource caseload at an elementary setting. This on-site assignment runs from August 4, 2026, through May 21, 2027, providing the chance to make a significant impact within a supportive educational community.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual in Spanish required
- Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education teaching license, or eligibility/in process (please be prepared to submit a copy with your application)
- At least one year of classroom teaching experience, preferably in special education
- Ability to work flexibly within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team
- Committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction and intervention consistent with student IEPs
- Manage a K-5 resource caseload, adapting curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to support student achievement
- Maintain accurate documentation and engage actively in IEP development and meetings
- Employ culturally responsive teaching strategies and communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking families
