Job Title: General Labor – Precast Concrete Laborer

Job Description

This role focuses on loading, unloading, and handling precast concrete materials in an outdoor environment. You work primarily under the sun, frequently lifting materials up to 50 lbs, and help ensure the safe, efficient storage and preparation of precast concrete products. The position involves physically demanding tasks, consistent outdoor work in all weather conditions, and operating equipment while maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload precast concrete materials safely and efficiently, including items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Handle, move, and position precast concrete products in designated storage and work areas.
• Work outdoors under the sun and in various weather conditions while performing daily tasks.
• Assist with general construction-related labor in a precast concrete environment.
• Operate basic tools and equipment as directed to support production and handling activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following site safety and housekeeping standards.
• Follow all safety procedures and use proper lifting techniques to prevent injuries.
• Support team members and supervisors by performing additional general labor duties as needed.

Essential Skills

• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including regular lifting of up to 50 lbs.
• Comfort working outdoors under the sun and in varying weather conditions.
• Experience or familiarity with general labor in construction, concrete, or similar outdoor work environments.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and use proper lifting and material-handling techniques.
• Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish; bilingual abilities are also acceptable.
• Reliability and punctuality for early morning start times and full shift coverage.
• Willingness to work both weekdays and Saturdays as scheduled.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in precast concrete, construction, or industrial labor environments.
• Experience handling heavy materials and working with basic construction tools and equipment.
• Bilingual communication skills in Spanish and another language.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to take direction and work collaboratively.

Work Environment

This is a first-shift position with a schedule of approximately 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with required availability to work on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM as needed. Work takes place outdoors in a precast concrete facility, where you are regularly exposed to sun and changing weather conditions. The role involves frequent heavy lifting and continuous physical activity. You work around concrete products, construction materials, and related equipment, following safety protocols at all times. Appropriate work attire suited for outdoor construction and industrial environments is expected, including clothing and footwear that support safe, physical labor.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
