Interventional Radiologic Technologist (IR) | Chicago, Illinois

Minimum 1+ years Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist experience and ARRT certification required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A leading healthcare facility seeks an experienced professional to support its Imaging department, specializing in Interventional Radiology (IR) technology. Key Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an IR Technologist or in a similar imaging role
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting interventional radiology equipment
• Valid certification in Radiologic Technology; ARRT (VI) preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and radiation safety protocols
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Acute attention to detail and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of interventional radiology procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
• Prepare and position patients safely for diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
• Maintain imaging equipment, ensuring all devices are operating efficiently and safely
• Accurately capture and document images for physician review
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate optimal patient outcomes
• Ensure adherence to all safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
