Physical Therapist - School Based

Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Pay Rate: $44-$55 (Based on experience)

Schedule: Part-Time

Hours: 6 Hours per Week

Days: 1 Day per Week

Start Date: August 10

End Date: May 14

Caseload: Elementary

Position Overview:

ProCare Therapy is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist (PT) to join a supportive school team with the school district. This part-time position will serve a small elementary caseload of three students, providing physical therapy services that support student access to and participation in the educational environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a PT seeking a highly manageable caseload with the flexibility to provide direct services, conduct evaluations, and complete required documentation within a single day each week.

Responsibilities:
Provide physical therapy services in accordance with student IEP goals
Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine student needs and eligibility
Present evaluation findings and recommendations to school teams
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
Maintain accurate documentation and service records
Complete Medicaid reimbursement paperwork as required
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as appropriate

Qualifications:
Active Virginia Physical Therapist License (required)
Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred
Ability to conduct and present evaluations independently
Experience with educational documentation and Medicaid billing processes preferred
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Passion for supporting student mobility, independence, and educational success
