CO RN Labor & Delivery (Days)

Position: Labor & Delivery RN / Postpartum RN
Location: Valley View Hospital, Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: 12-hour Days, rotating weekends, call rotation (approximately one 12-hour call shift every 6 weeks)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
EMR: Meditech

Unit Details:
Family Birth Place with approximately 60 deliveries per month
High-volume birth season anticipated

Provides:
Labor & Delivery
OR circulation
PACU recovery
Postpartum care
Couplet care (mother and newborn)
Caring for newborns 32 weeks gestation and older
Team-focused, evidence-based practice environment

Requirements:
Active Colorado RN License or Compact RN License
Minimum 4 years of Labor & Delivery experience
Certifications:
BLS (AHA)
ACLS (AHA)
NRP
STABLE

Important Notes:
Traveler's permanent residence must be 75+ miles from the facility.
Colorado CAPS background clearance required (can take up to 2 weeks).

Labor & Delivery

A strong candidate should be a team player with recent high-acuity L&D experience and proficiency in NRP and STABLE protocols.
