American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Break RN (Float Pool) position on night shift, requiring at least 1 year of acute care experience and 6 months of recent Emergency or Critical Care experience, with an active CA RN license.
Details- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Float pool position covering the Emergency, Med/Surg Swing Bed, and Skilled Nursing departments
- Provides break relief and supplemental staffing to RNs across assigned departments
- Patient population spans all age groups (0–120 years)
- 13-week contract
- Active, unencumbered California RN license required
- Current AHA BLS (Healthcare Provider), ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience within the past 2 years
- Minimum of 6 months of recent experience in an Emergency or Critical Care setting required
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Reporting to the CNO and directed by the Nurse House Supervisor, the nurse will independently implement the nursing process to deliver safe, effective, age-appropriate patient care across assigned departments
- Must maintain required proof of competency for all departments in which care is provided
- Familiarity with Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals (NPSGs) is expected, including alarm management, patient restraints, infection prevention, two-step patient identification, medication labeling and calculation safety, and identifying safety risks and suicide risk indicators
- Hospital orientation is paid in full
