American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 12-week inpatient acute care assignment, primarily performing evaluations in a Level III trauma center setting.

- Inpatient acute care setting, primarily serving the acute care unit with occasional minimal coverage at a second acute care hospital \n
- Patient population includes Level III trauma, telemetry, ortho, surgical, critical care, neuro, oncology, general medical, and adults or older teens \n
- Expectation of 1 completed eval per hour; if performing daily treatments, 10 completed treatments per 8-hour shift \n
- Support staff includes an average of 5 PTAs and 2–3 rehab techs on staff \n
- EMR: Meditech \n
- Day shift, 8:00am–4:30pm, 8-hour shifts \n
- 2 full weekends per month required, with comp days during the week; possibility of up to 3 weekends on a 5-weekend month \n
- Holidays are required with alternating coverage \n
- First to float policy applies \n

- Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required \n
- Active state or compact (NLC) PT license required at time of consideration; pending licenses will not be accepted — license required if applicable \n
- Current BLS certification required; pending certifications will not be accepted \n
- Inpatient acute care experience required \n
- Experience with Meditech EMR preferred \n
- A copy of your driver's license is required for consideration \n
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire \n

- Primary responsibilities include performing physical therapy evaluations and daily treatments in an inpatient acute care environment \n
- May be asked to precept staff as needed \n
- Orientation lasts 3–5 days depending on acute care experience level, covering hospital systems, Meditech EMR, and unit procedures/protocols \n
- Maroon scrubs required \n
- Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered \n
- Reliability is critical — call-outs are strongly discouraged and may result to termination \n
