Job Summary

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for decontamination, cleaning, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment. This role ensures all supplies meet safety and infection control standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Decontaminate and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
• Operate and monitor autoclaves (steam & gas)
• Perform biological & chemical testing daily
• Assemble and prepare instrument trays
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Ensure compliance with infection control policies
• Handle surgical specialties (OB-GYN, Ortho, ENT, Urology, etc.)
• Manage inventory and supply orders
• Support training and departmental operations

• CRCST & CER Certification – Required
• Sterile Processing experience (gas & steam sterilization)
• Knowledge of tray assembly, wrapping, and instrument processing
• Experience with endoscope cleaning & sterilization
• Basic computer skills
• Strong communication skills
