Job Description

Job Description
Build precision. Build your future.

Imagine starting your shift with a clear plan from your Trainer: you prep the machine and gages, check your first-off part, then steadily dial in offsets to hold spec through a full production run. When an insert wears, you swap it, verify the radius, and keep parts flowing—always documenting your work and following the tag procedure. That’s how you’ll help us meet exacting standards and ambitious output goals.

How you’ll make an impact
  1. Execute job, safety/environmental, and inspection requirements based on Cell work instructions and direction from your CNC Trainer or Supervisor
  2. Complete all required paperwork thoroughly and correctly
  3. Set up for success by preparing the machine and gages for operation
  4. Operate CNC equipment and confirm part compliance with the appropriate gaging
  5. Deliver parts that meet company and customer quality expectations
  6. Achieve or exceed production standards in a high-volume setting
  7. Maintain dimensional accuracy through precise offset adjustments
  8. Use the tag procedure whenever applicable
  9. Change tooling inserts, selecting correct types and radii
  10. Uphold Housekeeping, Safety & Environmental practices—recycling, labeling, spill response, and related programs
  11. Adhere to all applicable Quality and Environmental system requirements
  12. Contribute continuous improvement ideas in safety, productivity, quality, and housekeeping to your supervisor or the HR Box
  13. Support additional tasks as assigned by your supervisor
Skills you’ll apply and grow
  • Operation of CNC lathes and mills; exposure to broaches
  • Fanuc control operation
  • Tool changes (inserts) and making offsets
  • Troubleshooting quality concerns
  • Use of gages: plug, snap, flush pin, go/no-go, and calipers
What helps you succeed here
  • Experience with, or the ability to be trained on, CNC lathes, mills, and broaches
  • Machine shop coursework in high school or beyond
  • Comfort performing offset adjustments
  • Knowledge of insert types and radius, and proper change procedures
  • Proficiency reading and interpreting common gages
