FULL TIME
Opportunity
A well-established civil construction contractor is seeking an experienced Civil Superintendent to oversee field operations across multiple active projects and/or large-scale job sites.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring expertise across all phases of civil construction, including:
- Earthwork
- Underground utilities
- Paving
- Concrete structures

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee field operations across multiple projects and/or large job sites
- Partner daily with Project Managers and Foremen to plan and execute field activities
- Develop and coordinate realistic project schedules in collaboration with PMs
- Lead and support Foremen and field crews to ensure efficient execution
- Coordinate labor, equipment, schedules, and subcontractor activities
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards
- Support implementation of project quality control and safety plans
- Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies on all job sites
- Maintain active communication with owners, general contractors, and stakeholders
- Represent the company in project meetings with clients and partners
- Track job progress, production rates, and field performance metrics
- Proactively identify issues and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule and budget
- Communicate delays (weather, scope changes, etc.) to clients in a timely manner
- Review weekly construction methods for cost and efficiency improvements with Project Managers
Qualifications
- 8–10 years of experience in civil construction, including underground utilities
- Proven experience managing field operations and leading teams
- Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and methods
- 8–10 years of experience in civil construction, including underground utilities
- Proven ability to lead field operations and manage construction crews
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and methods
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to safety, quality, and accountability
Preferred
- Experience in government, commercial, or industrial civil construction
- Strong mathematical and analytical ability
- Working knowledge of construction scheduling and cost tracking
- Proficiency with construction software/tools (preferred)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to troubleshoot field issues while maintaining long-term project focus
- High level of professionalism and discretion
Work Environment
- Field-based role across multiple active job sites
- Fast-paced environment with concurrent project responsibilities
- Close coordination with field crews, subcontractors, and project management teams
