A well-established civil construction contractor is seeking an experienced Civil Superintendent to oversee field operations across multiple active projects and/or large-scale job sites.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring expertise across all phases of civil construction, including:

• Earthwork
• Underground utilities
• Paving
• Concrete structures

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee field operations across multiple projects and/or large job sites
• Partner daily with Project Managers and Foremen to plan and execute field activities
• Develop and coordinate realistic project schedules in collaboration with PMs
• Lead and support Foremen and field crews to ensure efficient execution
• Coordinate labor, equipment, schedules, and subcontractor activities
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards
• Support implementation of project quality control and safety plans
• Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies on all job sites
• Maintain active communication with owners, general contractors, and stakeholders
• Represent the company in project meetings with clients and partners
• Track job progress, production rates, and field performance metrics
• Proactively identify issues and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule and budget
• Communicate delays (weather, scope changes, etc.) to clients in a timely manner
• Review weekly construction methods for cost and efficiency improvements with Project Managers

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in civil construction, including underground utilities
• Proven experience managing field operations and leading teams
• Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and methods
• 8–10 years of experience in civil construction, including underground utilities
• Proven ability to lead field operations and manage construction crews
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and methods
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to safety, quality, and accountability

Preferred

• Experience in government, commercial, or industrial civil construction
• Strong mathematical and analytical ability
• Working knowledge of construction scheduling and cost tracking
• Proficiency with construction software/tools (preferred)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to troubleshoot field issues while maintaining long-term project focus
• High level of professionalism and discretion
