Schedule: Monday–Friday, Days | Compensation: $90,000–$130,000 DOE
Join a Fabrication-First Engineering TeamOur client is growing and looking for a design engineer who can move seamlessly from calculations to shop-ready drawings—supporting ASME code pressure equipment with a strong emphasis on heat exchangers. This role sits at the intersection of engineering rigor and hands-on manufacturing in a fast-paced, job-shop environment.
Role Focus- Mechanical design calculations for pressure-retaining equipment.
- Development of engineering drawings, layouts, fabrication details, and dimensional sketches.
- Design support for shell-and-tube heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and related ASME equipment.
- Consistent application of ASME Code, TEMA standards, and customer requirements.
- Issuance of fabrication drawings, calculations, and engineering documentation for internal and customer review.
- Cross-functional collaboration with fabrication, production, and project management.
- Assistance with troubleshooting engineering and fabrication challenges.
- Participation in continuous improvement to elevate quality, efficiency, and manufacturability.
- Mentorship of junior engineers as experience allows.
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline; equivalent technical education with strong mechanical fundamentals will be considered.
- Prior heat exchanger experience strongly preferred; shell‑and‑tube familiarity is a plus.
- Knowledge of ASME Code and TEMA standards.
- Background in a fabrication-driven or job-shop manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong analytical ability, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Clear, professional communication and reliable, accountable work style.
