Precision Repair Machinist -- Vertical Turret Lathe

What you’ll handle

• Set up and operate manual Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs)
• Machine and repair parts to exacting tolerances
• Interpret blueprints, machining drawings, and work orders
• Use precision measurement and hand metrology tools for inspections
• Support valve and mechanical equipment repair/refurbishment
• Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust as needed
• Keep the work area orderly and safe
• Coordinate with shop personnel to meet production schedules and project timelines

What it takes

• Solid experience running manual VTLs or similar manual turning equipment
• Ability to read and apply blueprints/machining drawings
• Track record of precision work with tight tolerances
• Mechanical aptitude and an eye for detail
• Comfort working independently with minimal supervision
• Consistent reliability and strong work ethic
• High School Diploma or GED required
