Job Description
Job Summary:
Responsible for delivering behavioral health services to youth district-wide, under the supervision of the Mental Health Professional, in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team. The Mental Health Worker will support the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) team and be involved in a broad range of training and development activities, assessment services, and case consultation.
Performance Responsibilities:
· Delivers behavioral services district-wide to those referred into the check-in check-out program (CICO).
· Follows the behavior reduction and behavior skill acquisition protocols.
· Completes accurate, timely documentation of the highest quality and consistent with agency standards, rules, and regulations.
· Completes required assessments, training modules, behavioral plans, and progress notes.
· Use data to monitor the course of treatment services for individual youth.
· Participate in and assist with PBIS program implementation, participation, and ability to apply plans for all three tiers.
· Participate in and assist with student services team (SST) duties daily.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Educational Requirements:
· A Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, education, or another human service-related field or a bachelor's degree in some other field is preferred, AND one year of experience working with children in a paid position preferred.
· Experience in the field and knowledge of emotional disturbance and other challenging behaviors.
· Experience working in schools or behavioral health systems - preschool to age 21 preferred.
· Experience in the field and knowledge of Multi-Tiered Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS).

· Ability to work in a team and complete assigned tasks.
· Analytical/problem-solving skills.
· Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources.
· Detail-oriented with good organizational skills and administrative abilities.
· Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
· Knowledge of and the ability to adhere to a professional code of ethics.
· Knowledge of and the ability to comply with the State Mental Health Code.
· Proficient knowledge of IBHS governing regulation requirements.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to carry out appropriate restraints to prevent clients from harming themselves or others.
· Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. at times with or without assistance.
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Prolonged periods of standing and moving.
Required Clearances and Documentation:
· Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to reliable transportation.
· Act 31/Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training.
· Act 34 Pennsylvania State Police Background Check - Criminal History.
· Act 114 Department of Human Services FBI Fingerprints.
· Act 33 Pennsylvania Child Abuse History.
