Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse – Long-Term Care
Location: Colby, KS
Type: Contract
Shift & Schedule: Night Shift | Variable Schedule | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours Per Week
Pay: $38/hr - $40/hr (Based on Experience)
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse – Long-Term Care for an exciting Contract job in Colby, KS.
Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans and facility standards.
Administer medications, treatments, and injections as prescribed.
Monitor residents’ health status and report changes to the RN or physician.
Perform routine assessments including vital signs and documentation of resident conditions.
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in electronic or paper records.
Support wound care, catheter care, and other skilled nursing procedures within scope of practice.
Respond promptly to emergencies and changes in resident condition.
Ensure infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance standards are followed.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure quality resident care.
Provide emotional support and compassionate care to residents and families.
Required Qualifications
Active and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License in Kansas or Compact State eligibility.
Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
Ability to work 12-hour night shifts consistently.
Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Long-Term Care (LTC) experience.
Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience.
Geriatric nursing experience.
Strong communication and resident care skills.
Experience working in an overnight nursing environment.
