Type: Contract
Shift & Schedule: Night Shift | Variable Schedule | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours Per Week
Pay: $38/hr - $40/hr (Based on Experience)

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse – Long-Term Care for an exciting Contract job in Colby, KS.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans and facility standards.

• Administer medications, treatments, and injections as prescribed.

• Monitor residents’ health status and report changes to the RN or physician.

• Perform routine assessments including vital signs and documentation of resident conditions.

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in electronic or paper records.

• Support wound care, catheter care, and other skilled nursing procedures within scope of practice.

• Respond promptly to emergencies and changes in resident condition.

• Ensure infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance standards are followed.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure quality resident care.

• Provide emotional support and compassionate care to residents and families.

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License in Kansas or Compact State eligibility.

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.

• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts consistently.

• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Long-Term Care (LTC) experience.

• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience.

• Geriatric nursing experience.

• Strong communication and resident care skills.

• Experience working in an overnight nursing environment.
