About the NICU Program
- Top-ranked by U.S. News & World Report, Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital hosts thelargest neonatal service in South Florida, with a total of120 NICU beds.
- The hospital features62 Level IV NICU bedsand22 Level II beds, with anaverage daily census of 80andover 5,000 births annually.
- Sister facilities inMiramar and Memorial Westadd36 Level III NICU bedsand support an additional8,000 births per year.
- Comprehensivehigh-risk perinatal navigation, including Maternal-Fetal Medicine and advanced Obstetrics.
- Full spectrum ofpediatric subspecialtiesand advanced neonatal care capabilities:
- ECMO
- Neonatal Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Program
- Therapeutic hypothermia
- BPD management
- HFOV, HFJV, and NAVA ventilation modes
