Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Vocational/technical diploma or equivalent degree in Architectural/Civil Engineering Drafting or related field.
• Two (2) years of technical drafting experience in Computer Aided Design in Drafting (CADD) software, computerized mapping and/or related field.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares detailed engineering, architectural and/or related CAD drawings for construction documents, presentations, or other related uses from survey drawings, file research, field research plans, maps, and other forms of documentation. Drawings may require design and quantity takeoffs on certain projects to assist the workload of the engineer or other department personnel.
• Performs field inspections of infrastructure and project sites for verification of field data and to obtain additional data to complete accurate drawings.
• Maintains department project retrieval system consisting of computer drawing files, project drawing hard copies and GIS data.
• Transfers data from/to aerial photographs and/or geographic information systems (GIS)
• Other duties as assigned.
