SUMMARY
Welch Packaging is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our team at the 4200 Industrial Blvd facility. This role is responsible for safely operating forklifts to move, locate, load, and unload materials within the warehouse and production areas. The ideal candidate will support efficient operations while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

We have a five-day work week schedule.
All machines are currently sit-down propane forklifts.
Very little mandatory overtime.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Work Safely – report all unsafe conditions and or near misses immediately to your Supervisor.
- Report any property damage that occurred while you were on the lift, regardless of how insignificant it may seem.
- Maintain a clean work area – keep docks picked up, aisle ways clean and swept, bander area clean and empty trash as required.
- Operate and maintain fork truck equipment as required.
- Perform Fork Lift inspection daily at the beginning of your shift
- Rework any bales or pallets of finished goods that have been spilled or are potentially unsafe.
- Work with other Fork Lift drivers as a team and communicate accordingly.
- Other tasks as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED.
Experience
- Prior forklift experience required.
- Must be able to pass basic forklift training
- Ability to read and write English.

- Strong written and oral communication.

- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
