At Indiana Fertility, we are seeking to fill our Andrologist position with an individual who is passionate about working in the field of fertility and has at least one year of experience working in a laboratory setting. The Andrologist performs the laboratory procedures in Reproductive Chemistry and Andrology required for an in-vitro fertilization (IVF) cycle including hormone assay, preparation of semen samples for artificial insemination, cryopreservation of sperm, and complete sperm analysis assessed.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm. Saturday rotation, 7:30am – 11:00am, and holiday rotation

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform all andrology laboratory services, including preparation of semen samples for intrauterine insemination (IUI), sperm cryopreservation, and comprehensive semen analysis.
  • Conduct semen analyses, including assessment of sperm count, motility, progression, morphology, and viability when indicated.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform and monitor laboratory quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) activities, and participate in quality improvement (QI) initiatives.
  • Adhere to all laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and OSHA guidelines, including universal precautions for bloodborne pathogens.
  • Support organizational goals by actively participating in initiatives that enhance patient care, operational efficiency, and overall laboratory performance.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, laboratory staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care and service.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, consistent with Prelude Fertility policies, procedures, and standards of excellence.

Education and Experience:

  • HS diploma or GED, required.
  • Bachelor's degree with credits in Biological Sciences, preferred
  • Prior laboratory experience is preferred.
