Job Summary
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We're seeking a Kitchen Operator to join our team in Walker, MI. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping produce high-quality snack products by accurately preparing ingredients, operating kitchen equipment, and maintaining strict food safety standards.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Kitchen Operator, your core responsibilities will include:
- Equipment Operation: Operate and monitor kitchen machinery used for mixing, cooking, and preparing snack products to ensure smooth production flow.
- Recipe Execution: Follow established recipes and formulas, ensuring accurate measurement and mixing of ingredients for consistent product quality.
- Quality Control: Monitor cooking times, temperatures, and product texture to meet company and food safety standards.
In addition, you will also be expected to perform routine cleaning and sanitation, document production logs and batch records, and troubleshoot or report equipment issues while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food production, manufacturing, or machine operation preferred (training provided)
- Ability to follow recipes and written instructions accurately
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift
Skills:
- Attention to Detail: Essential for accurate ingredient measurement and maintaining product consistency.
- Mechanical Awareness: Helps monitor equipment performance and identify issues quickly.
- Safety & Compliance Mindset: Ensures adherence to GMPs, food safety standards, and workplace policies.
