CNA / HHA - Hospice Aide

The Hospice Aide provides personal care and supportive services to hospice patients in their place of residence under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). This role focuses on maintaining patient dignity, promoting comfort, and supporting quality of life while creating a safe and clean environment.

Our Hospice Aides are a valued part of the interdisciplinary care team and are instrumental in fulfilling the mission of hospice.

As a Hospice Aide, You Will:

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of the RN and according to the established Plan of Care
• Assist patients with personal care, bathing, grooming, dressing, and activities of daily living
• Support safe patient transfers, positioning, and ambulation in accordance with agency policies
• Observe and report changes in patient condition and document care provided accurately and timely
• Maintain infection prevention and control practices to ensure a clean and safe environment
• Promote respectful, compassionate communication with patients, families, and care team members
• Preserve patient dignity, privacy, and personal property at all times
• Assist with nutrition and hydration support according to the care plan
• Perform assigned treatments and procedures within scope and agency guidelines
• Demonstrate strong time management and contribute to efficient agency operations
• Support agency values, mission, and quality standards of hospice care

Qualifications:

• Current CNA and HHA Certification required
• Long-Term Care (LTC) experience preferred
• Current CPR Certification required
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
• Current Auto Insurance required
• HomeCare HomeBase experience preferred
• Hospice or Home Health experience preferred
