Job Description
We are currently seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Residential Medication Aides (CRMA) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to join our team at our Machias home on a per diem (as-needed) basis. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking flexible scheduling while providing high-quality care and support to our residents.
Position Summary
The CRMA/CNA is responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living, promoting resident independence, and ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of those in our care. CRMAs will also be responsible for administering medications in accordance with physician orders and facility policies. Applicants must hold a current CRMA certification along with either a Personal Support Specialist (PSS) or CNA certification or possess a current CNA certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team
- Provide compassionate care and emotional support to residents
- Assist with meal service and resident nutrition needs
- Maintain accurate documentation as required
- Follow infection control, safety, and resident rights policies
- For CRMAs: Administer medications and treatments as assigned in accordance with state regulations and facility policies
- Work collaboratively with nursing staff and other team members to provide exceptional resident care

Qualifications
- Current Maine CRMA certification and either PSS or CNA certification, or current Maine CNA certification
- Ability to effectively understand and communicate verbally and in writing, in English, is required
- Basic computer skills
- Previous experience in long-term care or assisted living is preferred, but not required
- Commitment to providing person-centered care and excellent customer service
