Nola Brunch & Beignets in San Antonio, TX is looking for one expediter (expo 2) to join our 56 person strong team. We are located on 1101 Broadway Ste 120. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and hard-working.
We are seeking a highly organized, communicative, and kitchen-savvy Expediter (Expo) to join our team. The Expo plays a vital role in ensuring every dish leaves the kitchen accurately, beautifully presented, and on time. Acting as the bridge between the Back of House and Front of House teams, this position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong food knowledge, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure service environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate Ticket Flow- Manage incoming tickets with precision and urgency.
- Ensure proper timing and pacing of orders to align with guest expectations and kitchen workflow.
- Monitor service flow and prioritize orders effectively during peak periods.
- Conduct final inspections of every plate before it leaves the kitchen.
- Verify accuracy, presentation, portion sizes, and overall quality.
- Taste-test menu items as needed to ensure consistency and adherence to standards.
- Serve as the primary communication link between kitchen and service teams.
- Relay updates, modifications, special requests, and priorities clearly and efficiently.
- Address issues quickly to support smooth service execution.
- Keep the expo station clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout service.
- Ensure all necessary plateware, garnishes, utensils, and tools are readily available.
- Support cleanliness and food safety standards at all times.
- Manage high-volume service periods with professionalism and composure.
- Support team members while maintaining focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Contribute to a positive and solution-oriented work environment.
- Coordinate food runners and assist with directing order flow.
- Educate and support service staff on menu items and dish components.
- Accurately call and organize completed orders for timely delivery to guests.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen, expo, or back-of-house coordination role preferred.
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food preparation, and food safety standards.
- Ability to taste and evaluate a variety of foods for consistency and quality.
- Must not have dietary restrictions that prevent tasting menu items as required.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively under pressure.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Availability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Food Handler Certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.
