Position Details:
- Full-Time
- Location: Palmdale
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of experience working with children, teens, young adults or adults with social, emotional, and/or behavioral special needs
- Up to two years of graduate professional education may be substituted for the experience requirement on a year-for-year basis
- Up to two years of post-associate arts clinical experience may be substituted for the required educational experience, in addition to the requirement of four years of experience.
- Prefer minimum of one year experience specific to working with Transitional age youth or Adults with mental health diagnosis.
- Valid California driver’s license with a good driving record, with a minimum of three years’ driving experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete and submit all required Day Treatment documentation accurately and on time (e.g., daily behavior notes, incident reports, weekly notes, and other program records).
Support and, when needed, lead the milieu program and daily therapeutic activities; assist in planning and facilitating groups alongside the Milieu Group Therapist.
Participate in treatment team meetings, trainings, agency meetings, and case conferences to support individualized client goals and stay current on best practices.
Supervise and ensure the safety of clients at all times, providing crisis intervention, behavioral support, and implementing individual and group behavior plans.
Lead Social Emotional Learning groups and help clients build social, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills through structured programming and positive reinforcement.
Provide administrative and operational support (attendance tracking, documentation, transportation), report any suspected abuse immediately, and collaborate effectively with team members while following all agency policies and ethical standards.
