Job Description

Scope and Purpose

At Zellis, Leasing Consultants are the first hello and the lasting impression. You are the front line of our hospitality-driven approach to property management—connecting with prospective and current residents, guiding them through the leasing journey from first showing to move-in day and beyond.

Your role goes beyond filling vacancies. You will walk the tour path and inspect vacant units before every showing to ensure they meet Zellis standards. You will present our communities with genuine enthusiasm, explain pricing and lease terms with transparency, and process applications with accuracy and care. You will also contribute to marketing efforts—refreshing online listings, running market surveys, networking in the local community, and following up on every lead in Yardi.

You are also the go-to for existing residents when service needs arise. Whether it’s coordinating a maintenance request or answering a question about their lease, you make sure every resident feels seen, heard, and valued—because at Zellis, we don’t just manage buildings, we deliver experiences people didn’t know they needed.

Our Core Values

At Zellis, everything we do is guided by four values that define how we show up—for each other, for our residents, and for our clients.

  • Driven by Passion: We show up with energy, ownership, and a relentless drive to be better – We care deeply about the work, and it shows. We hold ourselves to a higher standard, take responsibility for outcomes, and push through challenges with determination. At the leasing desk, this means treating every prospect interaction as an opportunity to represent the best of Zellis.
  • Built Smarter: We run toward change and build better systems to stay ahead – We lead the industry by embracing technology, automation, and new ways of working to create smarter, more efficient operations. In this role, you will use Yardi to track leads, monitor conversion rates, and keep listings accurate across all platforms.
  • Experience Meets Insight: We combine experience and data to guide smarter decisions – Our clients and residents trust us to do more than manage—they rely on us to think. We bring expertise and turn data into clear, actionable insight. You will use traffic and conversion data to identify trends and flag opportunities to your manager before they become problems.
  • Service Without Compromise: We set a higher standard by anticipating needs and owning every outcome – Every interaction is thoughtful, timely, and intentional. We anticipate needs, communicate clearly, and follow through without exception. From the first phone call to move-in day, every touchpoint you deliver reflects Zellis’s commitment to hospitality excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Inspect property, vacant units, and model units daily to ensure the tour path meets Zellis presentation standards before every showing.

  • Prepare and send lease paperwork for signatures, ensuring all documents are complete and compliant before move-in.
  • Coordinate and execute welcoming move-in experiences that set the tone for the resident relationship.
  • Review online listings across all platforms regularly to ensure accurate pricing, photos, and property information.
  • Conduct market surveys and monitor competitor activity to inform pricing and marketing decisions.
  • Follow up on all leads—phone, email, walk-in, and ILS—within Zellis response time standards, logging all activity in Yardi.
  • Assist residents with maintenance requests by entering work orders in Yardi and communicating timelines and status updates.
  • Deliver standout customer service at every touchpoint, ensuring residents and prospects feel valued in every interaction.
