Household Assistant and Companion

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Household Assistant and Companion to provide support and companionship to our clients in a warm and respectful environment. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals by assisting with daily household tasks and offering friendly companionship.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with light housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and organizing

- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary preferences and needs

- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in conversations and activities

- Assist with personal care tasks as needed, respecting privacy and dignity

- Run errands such as grocery shopping and medication pickups

- Monitor and report any changes in the client’s health or well-being to family or healthcare providers

- Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to health and safety standards

Skills and Qualifications:

- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor

- Previous experience in homemaking, caregiving, or companionship roles preferred

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to perform light housekeeping and meal preparation

- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy

- Ability to adapt to the needs of different individuals

- Basic knowledge of health and safety protocols

- Valid driver’s license and access to transportation is a plus

Requirements:

• CNA License or HHA Certificate or homemaker certificate
• CPR Certification
• Valid Driver’s License
• Social Security Card or Passport
• Current Auto Insurance
• Physical examination results dated within the last year
• Proof of a negative TB test completed within the last 2 years, or a chest X-ray completed within the last 5 years
• Two positive professional references
• CORI background check
