Job Description
Re:Build Manufacturing – New Kensington is part of a national platform reinventing American industrial capability through enabling technologies, operational excellence, and strategic M&A. Our New Kensington operation spans product/system design, automation, fabrication, assembly, and large-volume contract manufacturing, serving aerospace, defense, mobility, healthcare, pharma, biotech, clean tech, chemicals, energy, lifestyle, food production, and industrial equipment customers.
We thrive in a principled, fast-paced environment where experts in engineering, operations management, and technology collaborate to deliver complex programs and build proprietary products.
Your impact (bullet-first)- Stand up and scale an LFM (Large Scale Machine) facility while running the daily engine: production, maintenance, quality, and logistics.
- Own safety and compliance: drive a zero-incident culture that meets OSHA, FDA, and environmental requirements.
- Build a top-tier team across production, quality, supply chain, and engineering—recruit, mentor, and set high accountability.
- Apply Lean rigor (Value Stream Analysis, RIE, SMED, 5S) to eliminate waste and compress lead times.
- Track and elevate OEE, productivity, scrap, and labor efficiency; use root-cause/countermeasure to lock in gains.
- Control the value stream P&L: budgets, capex, labor/overhead/opex, and cost-reduction strategies to hit financial targets.
- Orchestrate with Sourcing/Supply Chain, Technical, Quality, and Commercial to align capacity with demand and innovations.
- Deploy advanced machining processes, automation, and quality systems for high-yield, cost-efficient output.
- Continuously evaluate emerging machining technologies to keep us out in front.
- BS/MS in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related discipline.
- 10+ years in machine shop leadership; strong plus for large-format machining.
- 5+ years in senior roles within sophisticated manufacturing settings.
- Proven experience with facility launch, NPI, and rapid scale-up.
- Hands-on mastery of machining processes, methods, equipment, and tooling.
- Fluency in automation, Industry 4.0, and smart manufacturing tech.
- Leadership that develops talent and builds strong, cohesive teams.
- Sharp problem-solving and critical thinking; practiced Lean operator.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and related QMS frameworks.
