Essential Job Duties:

1. Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

2. Performs and oversees routine cleaning and sanitizing of residential and public areas including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, and disinfecting.

3. Ensures that restrooms, lobbies, and high-traffic areas are cleaned and restocked throughout the day to maintain an inviting and hygienic environment.

4. Monitors custodial supply inventory and assists in maintaining proper stock levels of cleaning materials, paper products, and equipment.

5. Assists in set-up and breakdown of community events and special functions as directed.

6. Reports maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to the appropriate department or supervisor.

7. Performs additional duties as requested by the Supervisor and the Director of General Services to ensure effective and efficient operations within the community.

8. Attendance is essential to this job. Must also maintain dependability and punctuality as outlined in Attendance policy.

The Custodian should have prior experience in custodial or housekeeping work, preferably in a residential or hospitality setting. Strong leadership skills and the ability to train, motivate, and support a team are essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety throughout the community. Must be able to operate and maintain custodial equipment, follow safety and sanitation procedures, and communicate effectively with team members, residents, and supervisors.
