In 2013, Cooper University Health Care partnered with MD Anderson Cancer Center, one of the nation’s leading cancer centers, to establish MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper. Through this partnership, MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper has taken cancer care in our region to a new level, providing patients with advanced cancer care, cutting-edge clinical trials, supportive care, and cancer prevention and early detection services.
We offer multidisciplinary programs for the treatment of:

MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper is based in Camden, NJ, which is a short commute from Center City Philadelphia (7–10 minutes) and many beautiful New Jersey towns, including Haddonfield, Moorestown, and Cherry Hill.
Short Description
Breast Surgical Oncologist – Faculty Member
MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper is seeking a breast surgical oncologist to join our Division of Breast Surgery at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper. The successful candidate will possess knowledge of advanced breast surgical techniques, have a strong commitment to delivering an outstanding patient experience, and the ability to work in a collaborative, team-based environment.
The breast surgery team is an integral component of MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper’s multidisciplinary breast cancer program. The program includes:
- Advanced breast screening and diagnostic services
- Innovative medical oncology and radiation oncology treatment
- Breast reconstruction
- Genetic counseling and testing
- Clinical trials and a full range of supportive services.
Our team of breast cancer experts consists of:
- Board-certified breast surgical oncologists
- Hematology/medical oncologists
- Radiation oncologists
- Plastic surgeons
- Dedicated breast cancer pathologists
- Ffellowship-trained imaging specialists
- Advanced practice providers, and additional clinical and support staff.
Our breast cancer program is accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers, and our breast imaging centers have been designated Breast Imaging Centers of Excellence by the American College of Radiology – the only hospital-based imaging program in South Jersey with this designation.
Education Requirements
- Fellowship trained in Breast Surgical Oncology or Surgical Oncology and board certified in General Surgery with an MD or DO from an accredited institution.
- Excellence in patient care, administration, clinical research, and medical education.
- Comfortable in the clinical setting, as well as in the contemporary health policy arena.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and a strong understanding of organizational dynamics with the communication and interpersonal skills to drive change with clarity in a complex environment.
