Cath Lab Technologist

Job Summary

Responsible for preparing patients, operating specialized imaging and monitoring equipment, assisting physicians during cardiac and vascular interventions, and ensuring patient safety before, during, and after procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.
• Assist cardiologists during procedures such as:
• • Coronary angiography
  • Angioplasty (PCI)
  • Stent placement
  • Pacemaker and ICD implantation
  • Peripheral vascular interventions
  • Structural heart procedures
• Operate fluoroscopy, hemodynamic monitoring, and imaging equipment.
• Maintain a sterile environment and follow infection-control protocols.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, ECG rhythms, and hemodynamic status during procedures.
• Administer medications and contrast agents as authorized and required.
• Respond to emergency situations, including cardiac arrest and arrhythmias.
• Document procedural data, patient records, and outcomes accurately.
• Ensure proper handling and inventory management of catheters, guidewires, stents, and other supplies.
• Participate in on-call rotations for emergency cardiac procedures.
