Job Description
We are currently seeking to hire one to two full-time employed positions who have full revenue cycle management experience with General Surgery medical groups and Radiology clinics.
Established in 2001, Oasis Claim Management Solutions, Inc. is a multi-regional revenue cycle management firm that provides medical practices with a full-service suite of medical billing solutions performed by U.S. Based Associates.
As an Associate, you will be responsible for managing the billing processes for healthcare providers. Your role will include submitting claims to insurance companies, following up on unpaid claims, ensuring the accuracy of patient accounts, and maintaining a timely revenue cycle.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Daily charge review and posting for assigned practices.
- Timely payment posting to keep insurance AR current and allow for accurate patient statement production.
- Investigation and resolution management for denied and rejected claims.
- A working knowledge of general surgery and radiology CPTs, HCPCs, ICD-10, LCDs and Modifiers is a must.
- Assist in the development and ongoing maintenance of processes and procedures for each assigned practice revolving around system use, billing/coding rules, and practice specific guidelines.
- Actively manage all charge entry for assigned practices, monitor timely receipt of charges from each practice and complete internal tasks/project requests
- Manage time effectively to meet all required deadlines and timeframes to meet practice and company needs. Establish self-imposed deadlines to ensure timely charge posting, contributing to consistent receipt of payments for client practices.
- Collaborate in a team environment with fellow Associates on a regular basis to seize opportunities to learn, share knowledge and deliver high quality services
- Assist in implementation projects from setup to go-live, as new practices are assigned.
- Promote a productive and effective working relationship with assigned practice owners and staff.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and laws.
Qualifications and Skills
- 5+ years medical billing experience with either:
- General Surgery: with one or more of the following subspecialties: Bariatric, Colon & Rectal, ENT, Foregut & Esophageal, Oncology, Transplant, Trauma and Acute Care.
- Radiology: all modalities including CT, MRI, Mammography, US, and Xray.
- CPB/CPC Coursework or Certification preferred
- Associate degree preferred, with a minimum high school diploma or GED
- Create and follow written procedures and effectively resolve matters affecting reimbursement
- Provide professional written communications and excellent customer service
- Technical proficiency with computers, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook software, and medical software systems (PM/EMR/RIS)
- Ability to quickly learn new billing software platforms and coding sets of medical specialties previously mentioned
- Strong organizational skills to ensure the timeliness of medical billing and AR activities
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Compensation is negotiable based on experience. Additional compensation may be awarded based on the following metrics: days in AR, clean claims and collection rates, and exhibited productivity.
