Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

About the Position

ABC Sheet Metal / Steeldyne Industries is an AS9100-certified, ITAR-registered aerospace manufacturer serving leading aerospace, defense, and space customers.

We are seeking a Laser Cell Coordinator to support our 4 kW CO2 and 12 kW fiber laser cutting operations. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in sheet metal fabrication, machining, aerospace manufacturing, material handling, production control, or other precision manufacturing environments.

This is not a desk position. Approximately 75% of the job is spent on the manufacturing floor coordinating material, supporting production, maintaining laser readiness, and eliminating bottlenecks before they impact production.

Key Responsibilities

· Review production schedules and ERP/MRP systems.

· Ensure material, programs, travelers, prints, and documentation are ready before production begins.

· Stage material to support continuous laser operation.

· Coordinate with Quality Control to support First Article Inspections.

· Operate forklifts to move material, support production, and maintain workflow.

· Coordinate with Production Control, Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality to eliminate production delays.

· Maintain material traceability and department organization.

· Help maximize laser utilization and reduce manufacturing backlog.

ITAR Requirements

ABC Sheet Metal / Steeldyne Industries is an ITAR-registered aerospace manufacturer. This position will have access to information and products subject to U.S. export control regulations. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and eligible to work in an ITAR-controlled manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

· 3+ years of manufacturing, fabrication, material handling, production control, or related experience.

· Forklift experience required.

· Experience in sheet metal, machining, aerospace, fabrication, or other precision manufacturing environments preferred.

· ERP/MRP or manufacturing software experience preferred.

· AS9100 and aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.

· Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work with urgency and manage multiple priorities.

· Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and eligible to work in an ITAR-controlled environment.
