Certified Medical Assistant

Pride Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant for our client in the medical facility. This is a temporary assignment opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Schedule:  7:45am to 5:00pm.
Location:  Cedar Hills, TX
Job Type: Contract
Contract Length: 3 months (possibility of extension)
Pay Range:  $21/hr- $23.40/hr
*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.  

Responsibilities

·         Room patients and prepare them for examinations according to clinic policies and procedures

·         Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)

·         Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection for laboratory testing

·         Collect and process specimens using non-invasive techniques and maintain proper chain of custody procedures

·         Conduct EKGs and other diagnostic tests as ordered by providers

·         Administer non-intravenous medications and injections within scope of practice

Required Qualifications

·         Active Medical Assistant Certification

·         Previous Medical Assistant experience

·         Experience with venipuncture and blood specimen collection
