Responsibilities:

• The instrument technician-Surgery will be responsible for detailed knowledge of the inter-departmental needs between OR, Case Carts, and the Sterile Processing Department.
• You will coordinate/communicate daily instrument needs with OR mission partners and team leaders.
• Must be competent in proper cleaning, sterilizing and inspecting of instrumentation.
• Must be proficient and responsible for all aspects of the Immediate Use Sterilization process, as well and handling Biologic Indicator testing as needed.

Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Other skills/knowledge: Excellent communication skills Excellent prioritization/organization skills Basic knowledge reading computer printouts and working from task list.
• PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Certification in sterile processing at the technician level or higher from an accredited organization 1 year experience in a Sterile Processing Department.
