Job Summary and Qualifications
We are seeking a Certified Surgical Techniciantoassistthe multi-disciplinary health care teamin clinical support functions andpromote a safe, compassionate patient care environment.TheSurgical Technicianwill work in collaborationunder the direction of the RN and Surgeonduring surgical procedures.
What will you do in this role?
- Performscrub duties for various surgical procedures
- Demonstrates knowledge and application of sterile technique, instruments and supplies needed for surgical cases
- Communicates andparticipatesin patient care activities in direct conjunction with the RN
What qualifications will you need?
- Graduation fromSurgical Technician program
- High School Diploma or equivalentisrequired
- Previousscrubbingexperience is preferred
- Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Surgical Technologist Certification is required
- (TS-C) Tech in Surgery - Certified, or (CST) Certified Surgical Technologist
