Position Overview
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Scrap Metal Yard Associate / Equipment Operator to join our team. This role involves hands-on work in a fast-paced outdoor environment, assisting with material handling, customer support, and equipment operation. Training is provided for the right candidate. We accept a wide range of materials including, Refrigerators, washers/dryers, ovens, filing cabinets, farm equipment, aluminum cans, car parts, copper, steel, metal fencing, tools, lawnmowers, and more.

We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Scrap Metal Yard Associate / Equipment Operator to join our team. This role involves hands-on work in a fast-paced outdoor environment, assisting with material handling, customer support, and equipment operation. Training is provided for the right candidate. We accept a wide range of materials including, Refrigerators, washers/dryers, ovens, filing cabinets, farm equipment, aluminum cans, car parts, copper, steel, metal fencing, tools, lawnmowers, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort, handle, and process various scrap metal materials
- Assist customers with unloading and identifying recyclable materials
- Operate equipment such as forklifts and cranes (training provided)
- Maintain a safe and organized yard environment
- Perform general labor duties including lifting, moving, and organizing materials
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
Qualifications - Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to perform physical labor in an outdoor environment
- Willingness to learn and be trained on equipment (forklift, crane, etc.)
- Mechanical aptitude is a plus
- CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) is a plus but not required
Compensation - Competitive starting pay: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour
