Yard Goat (P1P)

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Yard Goat Operator to manage the movement of trailers within our facility's yard. In this role, you will safely hook, move, and position trailers to and from loading docks to support continuous warehouse operations and timely shipping schedules.

Key Responsibilities
Trailer Movement: Safely operate a terminal tractor (yard goat) to move loaded and empty trailers between warehouse bays and designated yard parking spots.
Dock Spotting: Back trailers up to loading docks with high precision and awareness of surroundings.
Inspections: Perform routine pre- and post-trip safety inspections on yard equipment and check trailers for damage or proper locking mechanisms.
Communication: Coordinate closely with dispatchers, warehouse leads, and gate guards via two-way radio to prioritize tasks and update trailer inventory logs.
Safety Compliance: Strict adherence to all facility safety rules, speed limits, and OSHA regulations.

Qualifications
Valid driver's license required
Proven experience operating a yard tractor, spotter truck, or tractor-trailer.
Excellent spatial awareness and ability to back up trailers in tight spaces.
Ability to work in various weather conditions and climb in/out of the cab frequently.
Strong communication skills and a reliable, safety-first mindset.
