We are seeking an experienced, on-site experienced Draftsman to join our growing team based in our Mineola, New York (Nassau County) shop & office.   

Essential duties/responsibilities:

·       Develop and present accurate and complete shop drawings and specifications based on architectural plans

·       Quickly identify inconsistencies/problems in plans (i.e., field conditions differ from architectural drawings), and effectively confer with architects to formulate solutions

·       Work closely with Project Management, and Shop teams to ensure job runs smoothly.

·       Assist project manager to resolve client grievances or concerns

Essential skills/requirements:

·       Minimum five-years’ experience in high-end residential millwork required

·       Excellent conceptual, managerial, and oral/written communication skills

·       Strong attention to detail, and highly organized

·       Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

·       Desire to further personal experience/development in the field

·       Proficient in AutoCAD (minimum five-year experience)

·       Thorough understanding of wood products and hardware

·       Understanding and providing material take-offs

·       Proficiency in math

·       Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities

·       Thorough understanding of wood products and hardware
