Shift - First Shift, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM (40 Hours a week, OT Expected)

Role Overview:
Your goal is to implement, monitor, and improve the quality of manufacturing processes and products. You will partner with the local leadership team to enforce quality measures, lead auditing functions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage Audits: Oversee the internal quality system audit function and use the data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Control Quality Systems: Manage documentation change systems and participate in developing PFMEAs, control plans, and work instructions.
  • Analyze Data: Perform MSA (Measurement Systems Analysis) and capability studies on new and current equipment using Minitab.
  • Solve Issues: Address product rejects, handle customer-returned materials, and participate directly in customer visits and reviews.
  • Coach Others: Assist and train team members in using statistical techniques, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.

Required Skills/Education:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) OR equivalent manufacturing work experience.
  • Experience: 2 to 5 years of quality engineering experience, ideally within the automotive industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in engineering drawings, GD&T, APQP techniques, and statistical programs like Minitab.
  • Compliance: Must pass a drug screen, background check, and hold U.S. Citizenship.
  • Preferences: ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or IATF-16949 Certified Quality Auditor certification is highly preferred.
