Metal prep/ clean up

Our client, Industrial Filter Manufacturers is seeking a Metal prep/clean up to join their team. As a Metal prep/clean up, you will be part of the Welding team supporting Production. The ideal candidate will have good communication, strong work ethics and time management skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range:16hr

 

What’s the Job?

 

• Reads and understands blueprints
• May prepare metal shop products for welding including pre cuts, rolling, and marking laser cut materials and precutting pipe
• Sanding and prepping items
• Utilizing hand tools and grinders
• Performs clean up activities as needed post welding by inspecting structures, evaluating tools needed to perform clean up

 

What’s Needed?

 

• 1+ year of related experience in metal fabrication/prep highly recommended.
• Lifting up to 40 pounds manually
• Push and pull using a hand truck
• Ability to read a tape measure
