Job Description
The Assembler plays a key role in building large, heavy equipment by performing mechanical assembly using hand and power tools. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics, and precise measurement skills to ensure accurate and high-quality assemblies.
Responsibilities
- Assemble large, heavy equipment using mechanical aptitude and established work instructions.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools to perform mechanical assembly tasks safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, and work instructions to complete assembly work accurately.
- Measure and verify components using a tape measure to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Follow assembly line processes to meet production schedules and quality standards.
- Perform installations and sub-assemblies as required for final product completion.
- Inspect assembled components for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and handle tools and equipment properly.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues or discrepancies in parts, drawings, or instructions.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures while working in an indoor/outdoor bay environment.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 2+ years of assembly experience, preferably in mechanical or heavy equipment assembly.
- Proven experience using hand and power tools for assembly tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
- Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and mechanically inclined mindset.
- Experience working on an assembly line or in a structured assembly environment.
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and assembly procedures.
- Capability to perform mechanical assembly and installations with attention to detail.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with mechanical assembly of large or heavy equipment.
- Comfort working with a range of mechanical tools and equipment.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of an assembly team.
- Strong problem-solving skills when encountering assembly or fit issues.

Work Environment
This role is based in an indoor/outdoor overhead bay environment where large, heavy equipment is assembled. The shop can be hot and dusty, and you will work around industrial tools and machinery. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
